How we use data

In order for us to process customer data, the processing according to current privacy legislation must be based on a legal basis. This means that the processing must be done based on one of the following reasons: the processing is necessary (i) for us to be able to fulfill an agreement with you or (ii) for us at Kixon AB to fulfill a legal obligation, (iii) you have consented to the processing, or (iv) after a balancing of interests.

Below you will find examples of purposes for which we process your customer data and what the legal basis is for such processing.

To deliver services

We process data in order to deliver the services you have ordered from us in accordance with the terms set out in the agreement between us, the agreement may be oral or written. We also process data in order to be able to charge for the services we have agreed on, to handle invoices and payments, to handle complaints, for troubleshooting and handling other incidents. The legal basis for the processing of data according to this point is the performance of a contract.

To communicate with you about the Services

We process data to communicate with you about the services we deliver, for example when you contact us to get information, make inquiries, order our services or leave feedback about our services and products. We may also save email conversations when you contact us. We do this in order to train our staff. We also process data to be able to give you a better customer experience when you contact us, for example by directing your request to the right person. The legal basis for processing customer data for this purpose is legitimate interest.

To develop new services

We analyze customer data in order to improve our operations, our existing services and to optimize our services, to develop new services, product portfolios and our way of working. We do such processing by compiling statistics on, for example, orders. The legal basis for the processing of customer data is then a legitimate interest.

Processing for marketing purposes

We process data in order to market our products and services to you. We may send such marketing to you via e-mail, SMS, letter and telephone, as well as through personalized marketing on public websites. We also carry out profiling. This means that we compile information we have received from you (and information created when you order our services) with data we receive from other parties and create a customer image of you. We then use the customer image, among other things, to tailor marketing that we believe is relevant to you and to be able to give you a better customer experience. We also use the profiling to investigate whether you are satisfied with the personal service we offer you. We also process data to create a picture of how we think you would act in different situations and which subscriptions or offers we think would suit you, for example when we suggest you a certain service based on your previous use of our services . We do this type of processing of customer data based on a balancing of interests.

Who we share data with

Sometimes it may be necessary for us to engage subcontractors in order to deliver our services to you. We are then still responsible for the processing of your customer data that we or subcontractors carry out on our behalf. Such subcontractors may then not use the data for purposes other than those we specify. The sharing of your data is then done in order to fulfill the agreement between us.

Authorities

We are sometimes, based on law or authority decisions, obliged to disclose such information that follows from the decision to authorities, for example to the police. The legal basis for this processing is the fulfillment of a legal obligation.

SOS Alarm

We may disclose data, which may also include information about your geographical position to SOS Alarm both so that the rescue service can carry out its tasks but also for the transmission of important messages to the public. The legal basis for this processing is the fulfillment of a legal obligation.

How long we save data

We will process your personal data for as long as is necessary with regard to the purpose of the processing. This means that different data will be saved for different lengths of time. We must save certain data for a certain period of time in order to comply with applicable legislation.

As long as you are a customer with us, and no more than three years thereafter, we save your customer data. In cases where there are legal requirements to save data for a longer period of time, we comply with such laws. The Accounting Act is an example of legislation that states that documents must be saved for a certain longer period of time.

Your rights

The new data protection legislation that comes into force on 25 May 2018 aims, among other things, to strengthen the individual's right to their data. Therefore, you have the right to know what we do with your data, for what purposes we process your data, how long we save it and who has access to the data. Below you will find an overview of what rights you have in relation to our processing of your personal data, and how you can contact us to find out more about how we process your data.

Right to rectification

If some of the data we process is incorrect or if more data needs to be processed with regard to the purpose for which we process data, you have the right to have such incorrect data corrected or to supplement it with such additional data as may be necessary for the processing. When we have corrected your data, we will contact such parties to whom we have disclosed your data and inform them of the corrections that have been made, provided that this does not involve an overly burdensome effort for us or if for any reason it would be impossible. We will also, if you request it, contact you and tell you to whom the correction has been released.

Right to erasure

You also have the right to have your data that we process deleted in certain cases. In that case, contact us at info@kixon.se or phone. You will find contact information above.

Right to limitation

You also have the right to have the processing we do limited in some cases. Restriction means that the data is marked so that it may only be processed for certain limited purposes in the future. The right to restriction applies, among other things, when you believe that the data is incorrect and you have requested correction. In such cases, you can also request that the processing of the data be restricted while we investigate whether the data is correct or not. When the restriction ends, we will inform you about this.

Right to data portability

You also have the right to so-called data portability for the data you have given us in cases where we do the processing based on your consent or when we process data to fulfill an agreement with you. This means that you have the right to receive the data that you have given us and that we process about you in a certain format and that you have the right to transfer this to another personal data controller. The right to portability only applies to the data we have processed automatically. This means that information that is only processed in paper files is therefore not covered by the right to data portability.

If you want to exercise any of your rights as above, please contact us at info@kixon.se or by phone. Contact details can be found here above.

Withdraw consent

Part of the processing we do of your customer data is based on the fact that you have approved that processing, a so-called consent. You usually provide your consent within the scope of the service you purchase from us. You will find more information about consent in connection with us asking for your specific consent for a particular treatment.

You have the right to withdraw any consent you have given us for a certain processing of your customer data at any time. To withdraw your consent that has already been given, you can withdraw consent in the same way and at the same place where you previously gave us consent. Above, you will find more information about when we process customer data based on consent. You should note that we also carry out processing on a different legal basis than consent. We will therefore continue to carry out some processing of your customer and traffic data even if you withdraw consent.

If you are under 18, your guardian must give and/or withdraw consent.
